LFW A/W 2012: PAM HOGG

LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2012

PAM HOGG

WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM.

Hot dang this show was exciting.

I didn't have the best view but here are a few glimpses of the collection, showcasing Pam Hogg's signature bodysuit as expected, but with a few twists here and there...

Jaime Winstone (right) making an appearance on the catwalk

LOVED these two looks. Almost like Little Bo Peep on acid.

Fur collars and fur muffs (not the ear type).

These two looks drew audible gasps from the audience. Spectacular.

A frothy chiffon confection brought a touch of softness to the collection.

Pam Hogg has blonde hair.
(I know you can't see her)

I felt super privileged to be invited to this show - it was so high-paced and dramatic and I loved every moment of it!

Love,

LFW A/W 2012: BERNARD CHANDRAN

LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2012

BERNARD CHANDRAN

A beautiful and elegant collection with unique collar detailing and beaded/lace details.

This jewel-encrusted sparkling red collar was so good that I had to put it twice.

I loved the victory rolls & red lips on the models, which perfectly complemented the grey, dusky pink, black and blue silks and lace that made up many of the pieces.

Mr Chandran himself - isn't he a cutie?

A few of the interesting guests milling about afterwards:

I adored this show and thought that the collection was super classy - I'm excited to see what Mr Chandran comes up with next season!

LFW 02/2012: SPIJKERS EN SPIJKERS, DANS LA VIE

LFW February 2012: DAY 1 contd...

A few snapshots of the Spijkers En Spijkers & Dans La Vie shows.

I didn't have a great view for either of these shows so I only took a few shots for each, sorry! I hope it's interesting to get a peek into my experience anyway :)

-------------------------------------

Spijkers En Spijkers

Gorgeous silks, cute hairbands, an array of interesting necklines (feathered, scalloped, deep V) and kaleidoscopic prints. See the full breakdown of looks here on the Vogue UK website.

Aren't the blonde duo the cutest?

Dans La Vie

Japanese designer Rira Sugawara cited Andy Warhol as her main inspiration for her "Exotic Encounter" collection, which draws references from 60's American pop art and the spiritual character of a Japanese high priest, "Kukai"

The eye-popping collage of prints and quirky accessories (leopard print fur collars, purple & orange targets referencing Jasper Jones' Target painting) mixed with bold snakeskin garments made Sugawara's creations immediately unforgettable. I loved the rounded sunglasses and the exaggerated curled hair with neon flashes, which added a touch of 60's starlet to a futuristically tailored collection.

The brightly coloured pop art prints on the stomping models and the super high tempo of the show was such an exciting experience... It seemed to go by in a flash!

LFW A/W 2013: FLORIAN JAYET

Day 1: Saturday 18th February 2012

430am: Touchdown from Hong Kong at London Heathrow Airport
1230pm: Florian Jayet show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout

The first floor room in Freemason's Hall, with its stained glass windows and burnished interior, provided a magical backdrop to the show.

The collection presented a mixture of striking prints and precise tailoring, topped off with futuristic headpieces and braided hairstyles.

Amazing geometric shoes.

My favourite looks were:
a) this fluid metallic gown and chained headpiece &
b) this embellished dress and awesome red leather cap.

The final walk.

T'was a great start to my LFW... More updates coming up soon :)

Love,
Geisha
