A Hong Kong Christmas #4 (Fresh seafood in Sai Kung)

Chuen Kee Restaurant, Sai Kung

We bundled up the family and headed over to Sai Kung for some FRESH seafood.

This is how it works: A guy stands over the tanks and you shout wildly about the fat juicy prawns and plump scallops that you want to eat and.... he fishes them out!

You literally have an ocean of goodies to choose from and you get to choose exactly how you want your dishes cooked - garlic, chilli, ginger, soy... You name it, they'll cook it!

Once we were bursting at the seams with the catch of the day, we went for a stroll along the harbour side.

See you next time :)

Love,
Geisha

A Hong Kong Christmas #2 (Hirata Buns & a Flock of Flamingos)

Little Bao, Central

The cutest & most crowded little restaurant nestling near Hollywood road. I went with a lovely uni friend and we caught up over Mac 'n' Cheese, sticky glazed fries and a selection of delectable hirata buns - the fried chicken was an unexpected hit.

Botanical Gardens

Toucans, monkeys, the biggest ever flock of flamingos and a nearby fountain to mess around in.

Love,
Geisha

MAKEUP HAUL & DAY IN THE LIFE HONG KONG v2

The PIMPED OUT interior of the 1010 phone shop in Hong Kong.
All of them are done up like this:

wooden and marble flooring,
black leather seats,
vintage mirrored trunks as tables,
every new gadget on the market on display,
expensive air fresheners,
iPads for every shop assistant to use with customers,
stylish shelf decor, e.g. fashion & architecture coffee table books,
AND
a guy who stands at the door to ask you what service you need before discreetly broadcasting it to his colleagues so that by the time you get up the stairs, you can be served correctly and immediately.

To put this into perspective, this is an equivalent to the Vodafone or 02 stores in the UK, or the AT&T or T-Mobile stores in the States - you go in to pay bills, get help with your account, start up new phone contracts, etc.

Things are a little glitzier over here, huh?

Some recent purchases:
L'Oreal Superliner in Black
L'Oreal OpenEyesPro in 08 Smoky Brown
Chanel Vitalumiere in Clair 20
Sunglasses from Cotton On
Bobbi Brown Facial Oil samples

Can I skip the yadda yadda and just say that everything pictured = favourite. Cheapo sunglasses that I won't cry over if I sit on them (regular occurence) and my new favourite foundation/eye palette/waterproof gel liner/facial oil for winter.

Hong Kong is full of very blingin' Christmas lights.

What makeup have you been loving for Winter?

== Swishing party hosted by Tampax pearl ==

Am I a seriously BAD BLOGGER for not updating in the longest time????? YES.

Swishing party - extremely late update on this!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO TAMPAX FOR SPONSORING THE EVENT AND PROVIDING DELICIOUS CANAPES, YUMMY DRINKS, AMAZING GOODIE BAGS AND ALL THE FREE TAMPAX PEARLS WE WOULD EVER NEED!

I'd also like to thank the lovely lovely organisers (a big thank you to Lauren in particular for putting up with my constant emailing!)

On a side note: As a suggestion for any further swishing parties, it might be a good idea to GRADE each item that each person brought into categories A-D (or similar, ranked on quality) and only allowing people to swap A items for other A items and so on. I think it would make more sense than allowing people to bring in a bag of their old stuff and swap it for peoples brand new dresses/shoes/etc!

As usual, I have Margiela-d my friend's identities away.

By the end of the night: DRUNK (but still eating cupcakes)

I wore:
Scalloped crop top: Topshop
Bodycon studded skirt: H&M
Lace up shoe-boots: Topshop
Boyfriend blazer: Topshop

Thank you Tampax and Mother Nature for this amazing night out - you guys really know what us girls need :)
---------------------

Time to catch up on all your blogs!!!
Leave me a comment, some kisses or a dollop of Christmas cheer if you pass by :)

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a smashing New Year!!!!!!

Love,
Z xoxo

DECEMBER 09

I honestly think I've lost my camera charger! When I have a spare moment I'll have to look again :(

Snippets of what I've been up to in the past month:

These guys are amazing live. They played in a dingy little ghetto club with not even a raised stage. I was right at the front on the railings... literally an arms length away!

Can't get this outfit out of my head... I want a feathered headdress for Christmas.
