LONDON FASHION WEEK AW14 - Busardi & my LFW Outfit of the day (ft Topshop, ASOS, Zara)

BUSARDI AW14

In the last bit of spare time I had, I RAN to the Busardi presentation named "Thorns". I had a chat with the charming Busardi herself who explained the inspiration she got from her Thai mother.

The collection was absolutely beautiful, with the models vampy lips accenting the detailed embellishment and sheer panelling on breathtaking gowns. Truly red carpet worthy, my favourite piece was the gorgeous sheer maroon dress with 3D embellishments.

In other news, we ran into Myleene Klass filming a TV segment in towering Louboutin heels on the Somerset House cobblestones.

I also ran into an old colleague and friend and we spent the rest of the evening catching up on everything.

My outfit:
Hat from Zara
Gloves from Accessorize
Dress from Zara
Coat from Topshop
Bag from Russell & Bromley
Boots from ASOS

See you soon!

LONDON FASHION WEEK AW14 - Charlie May

CHARLIE MAY AW14

A big thank you to Charlie for the invitation to her show this February. I'm awfully late with the coverage but these are the pieces that you will be wearing this season so hopefully it works in a way!

The vibe was very cool and rugged as Charlie took her inspiration from the Dartmoor area in Devon. Fur detailing and leather accents ran through the collection - I think everyone's favourite look was the leather coat with fur collar and cuffs as it drew a gasp when the model came out!

The collection exuded a certain elegance with oversized yet structured pieces in navy, black and white, which included snuggly long-sleeved ribbed knits and knee-length skirts. White platform trainers and the most adorable peaked beret hats (a collab with New York milliner Gigi Burris) brought a major amount of freshness. My favourite show of the season!

LONDON FASHION WEEK AW14 - Ong-Oaj Pairam

ONG-OAJ PAIRAM AW14

I was lucky enough to be invted to Brighton based designer Ong-Oaj Pairam's show for London Fashion Week earlier this year to see his amazing collection of 50s inspired gowns, striking colour pop coats and patterned pieces.

The show took place in the breathtaking Freemansons Hall location and was arranged by the guys at Fashion Scout - thank you very much for the invitation.

Ong-Oaj hails from Thailand and was inspired by Super Villains and in particular, Ursula from the Little Mermaid - Bad-ass, right?

Scroll right to the bottom for a full video of all the looks but for me, my favourite pieces were the ballgowns:

The models hair and make up were very 50s inspired and injected a super-shot of glamour to the show.

Ain't nobody got time for the grungy look with amazing pieces like this:

More LFW AW14 coverage coming up soon!

A Hong Kong Christmas #4 (Fresh seafood in Sai Kung)

Chuen Kee Restaurant, Sai Kung

We bundled up the family and headed over to Sai Kung for some FRESH seafood.

This is how it works: A guy stands over the tanks and you shout wildly about the fat juicy prawns and plump scallops that you want to eat and.... he fishes them out!

You literally have an ocean of goodies to choose from and you get to choose exactly how you want your dishes cooked - garlic, chilli, ginger, soy... You name it, they'll cook it!

Once we were bursting at the seams with the catch of the day, we went for a stroll along the harbour side.

See you next time :)

Geisha

A Hong Kong Christmas #3 (Strollin' round Central, eatin' ramen)

A handy little pick me up at the bottom of Wellington street.

That egg....

Bits and bobs Shop

The most unexpected shop in the middle of modern central life.

We caught a film crew filming a scene nearby too.

The one, the only - The Landmark

Insane Crimbo decor as standard. Landmark always pushes the boat right out with their Christmas decorations - this year they had a light show to accompany this hot mess of lights and rolling balls with dramatic music to top it off. Trippy.

Apparently this place was inspired by London's Borough market!

Cakes with a sense of humour... Love it.

Next post is all about seafood... loosen your belts!

A Hong Kong Christmas #2 (Hirata Buns & a Flock of Flamingos)

Little Bao, Central

The cutest & most crowded little restaurant nestling near Hollywood road. I went with a lovely uni friend and we caught up over Mac 'n' Cheese, sticky glazed fries and a selection of delectable hirata buns - the fried chicken was an unexpected hit.

Botanical Gardens

Toucans, monkeys, the biggest ever flock of flamingos and a nearby fountain to mess around in.
