RETAIL THERAPY

I had the most delicious summery lunch today :)

* Oven warmed ciabatta bread with mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, crushed black pepper and a drizzle of rapeseed oil, green olives, sweet & juicy mango chunks and a cup of Earl Grey tea (representing the UK) in my favourite mug! *

--------------------

Recently acquired goodies:

  • It was bound to happen - Topshop SEANNA clogs in Chocolate... the new loves of my life! These babies look better than the Chanels and are unbelievably comfortable. I tried on a few pairs of normal flat clogs here and there (with the wooden soles) and they don't come anywhere near these on the comfort factor.
  • Rimmel Natural Bronzers in 022 Sun Bronze (used as bronzer) and 025 Sun Glow (used as blusher). Love these - cheap and effective.
  • MAC tinted moisturizer in Medium (this was a free sample) - I really like this as it feels light on the skin but gives good coverage.
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Light-Medium - the MUA recommended Medium-deep for me (NC25-30) but it made me look tangoed! I use this as a finishing powder and its lovely.
  • MAC Viva Glam lipstick - the Cyndi Lauper one, which is an incredible sheer but buildable coral-watermelon-pink. Everyone is going wild for the Gaga version but I think its kind of an ugly and unflattering colour!
  • Powder brush (and free mini brush) from Elizabeth Arden - I'm so impressed with this brush as it is really high quality with super soft bristles - perfect for applying powder foundation or finishing powder. I'm tempted to get the Elizabeth Arden mineral makeup that goes with it (the one with the twisting grinder). Has anyone tried it?

And last, but definitely not least:

A HUGE EXCITED THANK YOU TO REEBOK FOR MY EASYTONE SHOES AND KIT!
Future posts will show them in action, out and about in London town :)

They have air-pumped-up areas on the sole of the shoe which makes these a dream to walk in - like walking on a trampoline! But you can definitely feel them working your legs and I hope that mine will be more toned by the time summer rolls around :)

Tests have shown that they activate the muscles in your legs and bum much more than normal walking, so wear them whilst hoovering, running errands, on the school run - whenever you want!

If you have a pair of Easytones already or are thinking of getting a pair, join the conversation at the Reetalk Easytone forum where you can watch videos and chat to other members of the community about their Easytone experiences.

GIVEAWAY - Reebok EasyTone shoes and kit!

This awesome giveaway presented to you by GEISHAROCK with the help of:

I'm sure you will all have seen some sort of variation on these adverts in your favourite magazines and gazed enviously at her effortlessly summer-ready body...

Time to wake up and stop dreaming because Reebok has kindly given one of my readers the opportunity to be a trialist of their new EasyTone(tm) shoes!

What's the hype all about? Well, I'll take their description from the Reebok website first:

---------------------------------------------

Look out, sharp curves ahead.

The EasyTone Curve, built on Reebok’s patented muscle-toning sole technology, creates a slight instability, much like walking on sand.

They encourage toning through increased muscle activation in three key areas of the leg: the gluteus maximus, hamstrings and calves. Up to 28%, in fact.

Like we said, sharp curves ahead.
  • EasyTone balance pod technology encourages up to 11% more toning in the hamstrings and calves, and up to 28% in the glutes

  • Synthetic/mesh upper for comfort, support and breathability

  • Dual density medial post provides superior stability, while adjustable heel strap reduces heel slippage

  • SmoothFit design ensures minimal rub and ultimate comfort

---------------------------------------------

Another example of a pair of EasyTone gym shoes.

And DEFINITELY have a look at their super-techie EasyTone microsite which has a cool interactive video of a girl going through her day with her EasyTones.

Watch the TV clips for more inspiration and information :)

---------------------------------------------

What's so special about EasyTones (in my humble opinion)?

Reebok has developed these shoes to help us all tone up for summer! Studies have shown that the balance ball-inspired technology at the heel and forefoot of the shoe give the effect of walking on soft ground and this encourages increased gluteal, hamstring and calves muscle activity.

To cut a long story short, these shoes will help tone up your butt, legs and calves!

...Or as Reebok say themselves:
"Better legs and a better butt with every step"
